Pearland Storm Preparation Workshop

Mosaic in Action, a Christian Non-Profit dedicated to helping Brazoria County residents prepare for storms, repair their homes after a storm, and be able to age-in-place, will be hosting a free Storm Preparation Workshop for all area residents and congregations. We are aligned with Pearland OEM as well as Brazoria County's OEM. We are on the Boards of Texas Congregational Disaster Response (TXCDR) and Texas Gulf Coast Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (TXCGVOAD,) as well as members of the Brazoria County Long Term Recovery Committee (BCLTRC.)

Mosaic in Action will offer a Storm Preparation Workshop on May 22nd, 6-8 pm, at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church.  Many of our congregations are new to the area since Harvey. Here is the basic overview for each session.

  • Disaster Response Coordinators (the critical go-between each church or business should have for two-way communication during regional and local disasters. This person frees the pastor or owner from being the go-between)

  • Church Leaders (for preparing their communities for disasters)

  • The General Public (for preparing homes)

The General Public session is good for all and goes from 6-7 pm. The Disaster Response Coordinators and Church Leaders are presented together from 7-8 pm. Please consider participating and sending others. Spread the word. Please REGISTER so we can have sufficient materials. We hope to learn from you as well. Please contact me if you have any questions.
