Giving Tuesday

Following the rush of Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday is a very important day to nonprofits across the country: Giving Tuesday! Giving Tuesday is the day to support nonprofits like Mosaic in Action as a part of a global generosity movement.

Since 2012, nonprofits have been using the Tuesday after Thanksgiving (November 30th this year) as a day to raise awareness and funding for their cause. This year, Mosaic in Action is looking to Fund the Gap– the Administration Funding Gap that is.

What is “The Administration Funding Gap”?

The Administration Funding Gap is exactly what it sounds like– a gap in administration funding. For 2021, Mosaic in Action has been granted over $180,000 in disaster relief grants as of November 22. The only downside to this money is that it cannot be used to cover any administration costs which includes payroll, rent, insurance, and other bills. In 2021, Mosaic in Action received roughly $51,000 in designated administration funding…

In order for Mosaic in Action to continue with the staff we currently have (two full-time, three part-time, and two volunteer), we would need more than $100,000
